Reconfiguration of Veendiep

Commissioned by the Municipality of Bellingwedde, De Romein Group has carried out the redevelopment of the Veendiep, located southwest of Bellingwolde.
For this project, we undertook the following tasks:
Embankment Works
- Removal and cleaning operations
- Installation and maintenance of 1,000 meters of access plates
- Excavation of approximately 23,500 m³ of sand
- Excavation of approximately 12,500 m³ of clay
- Transport of the excavated soil
- Processing of the excavated soil at various locations
- Milling, profiling, and compacting the soil
Dredging Works
- Removal and cleaning operations
- Excavation of approximately 8,500 m³ of sludge
- Excavation of approximately 5,000 m³ of sand and clay
- Transport of the excavated soil and sludge
- Processing of the excavated soil and sludge at various locations
- Installation of sludge boxes
Sheet Piling
- Removal and cleaning operations
- Processing of 100 m³ of soil as backfill behind the sheet pile wall
- Installation of 50 meters of wooden sheet piling
- Installation of 50 meters of girders
- Installation of 50 meters of steel sheet piling
- Installation of 50 meters of steel girders
- Installation of 22 anchorage units
- Installation of 50 meters of steel cover profiles
Bank Constructions
- Removal and cleaning operations
- Assembly of 4,710 m² of zinc sheeting, base made of synthetic fabric
- Dragging these assembled pieces
- Submerging and installing the zinc sheeting
- Installation of 705 piles
- Placement of 945 tons of riprap, 5/40 kg
- Placement of 945 tons of riprap, 10/60 kg
- Finishing of the riprap
