HDD Den Helder - Texel

The Romein Group has carried out work for the client PPS Pipeline Systems GmbH on a unique HDD project. The boring route was from the Marine Base Den Helder to the South Side of Texel. The HDD bore was drilled 85 meters deep beneath the Mars Canal and extends 4.6 kilometers in length. This drilling was unique in its scale, length, and execution methodology.

The Romein Group fully relieved the main contractor by deploying the right equipment, such as the pipe trailer, suction vacuum system, and custom-made tools like the "kattenrug" (over-bend).
