On behalf of Fluxys Belgium, De Romein Group has supplied pipeline works for the Dorsales project. Fluxys Belgium initiated this project to renew certain sections of its parallel gas pipelines with a diameter of 900mm in Ravels and Oud-Turnhout.
For this project, De Romein Group carried out the following tasks:
- Preparatory works
- Removing topsoil (80,900 m3)
- Providing and installing culverts in ditch crossings
- Installing dragline plates: Explanation strip/Forest Ranger/HDD
- Installing barriers for road protection
- Installing access plates for driveways
- Excavating B-grade soil approximately 12,800 m3
- Clearing pipelines approximately 54,000 m3
- Cutting and lifting pipelines (14,880 meters)
- Constructing and dismantling basins:
- Backfilling trenches
- Clean up
