Dolwin

Commissioned by TenneT, De Romein Group has been working on the DolWin project. This project consists of a 45-kilometer underwater cable connection and a 90-kilometer land cable. The land cable runs from the coast to the onshore converter station Dörpen West in the Emsland region.

The heart of the DolWin network connection is the (currently) most powerful offshore converter platform in the world. With a transport capacity of 916 MW, DolWin 2 can supply electricity to more than one million households.
