Site Preparation for the New Eugal Gas Pipeline
The Romein has been awarded a portion of the site preparation work for the new Eugal gas pipeline running through former East Germany. This 480-kilometer pipeline, connecting the Baltic Sea to the Czech border, enhances the natural gas supply in Europe, primarily in Germany.
Execution of the Work on the Eugal Gas Pipeline for Lots 11 and 12
For lots 11 and 12 of Eugal, De Romein is carrying out a significant portion of the civil works under a contract with Bonatti. We take care of the complete preparation of the route, including the construction of bridges and access roads, construction of site roads in sand and gravel, and the removal of topsoil. Furthermore, we are responsible for the repair of roads and the full restoration of the route and surrounding area to its original condition.
Our team is also managing all civil works for the valve stations on this project.
For this project, our team operates from the project office in Grossenhain, with support from our office in Wiedemar.
Why Did the Client Choose De Romein?
The main contractor for this installation is a consortium of various parties. The contractor awarded us the work because several of the involved parties are familiar with us from past collaborations. In addition to a favorable price-quality ratio and our specialized experience, knowledge, and skills, it was also crucial for the client that we are a flexible organization with short communication lines. We say what we do, and we do what we say.
Operator Gascade
The operator of the new pipeline will be the German gas transportation company Gascade. This company is committed to safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally-friendly gas transportation across five Central European countries.
